Hi all,
here is a vital climate event taking place this coming week, in this really important year of 2015.
URGENT – FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!
There is an important meeting taking place at the Royal Agricultural University , Stroud Road, Cirencester, this Tuesday, 22nd September, 2015.Doors open 7pm, talks and discussion sessions commence 7.30pm. Plenty of free parking and refreshments available. Parkinson Lecture Theatre – talks entitled ‘Cotswolds Fracking & the Climate’.
Please come along, because not only will latest insights into the fight over fracking be outlined, but also the developments with regard to the forthcoming UN Climate Change talks in Paris.
If you care about environmental issues, this is a must attend event!
The speakers will be:
Jonathan Whittaker, Chair of Frack Free Cotswolds and a national steering group member of Campaign against Climate Change, who are jointly putting on this event,
And
Peter Robinson, who is a former Chair of Campaign against Climate Change (the group that arranges most of the major marches on climate issues), and founder of the national group Alliance for Jobs and Climate and also the Derby Climate Coalition. Peter is an experienced campaigner, having been active in the anti-apartheid movement in his native South Africa. We thank Peter for finding time to travel and speak to us.
The event will be useful for anyone seeking to be active in climate change matters. Please let all you know who may be interested about this event. Find out about what the plans are for 2015 in the lead up to and throughout the UN talks in Paris.
